WEED? It's not about human rights. It's about MONEY IN HUGE AMOUNTS

Australia television's ABC has a regular series called FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT.

In this half-hour segment, they visit America and meet the blue-eyed suits who smile as they raise billions to market their newly legalized favorite commodity.

The piece is called CANNABIS INC.

It is chilling and informative.

Watch it here.http://www.abc.net.au/foreign/

Celebrating Good Work

Rob Turnbull, CEO of Vancouver's streettohome foundation send this note to us this morning and I thought it would be useful to see and recognize some very good work being done in our communities.

You can find more in their website.

I thought that you would appreciate a brief update on Streetohome. As of today, Streetohome has helped over 1300 vulnerable people through new supportive housing and homelessness prevention programs. By the end of 2014, nearly 2,000 people will have moved off of the streets, out of shelter, or have been prevented from becoming homeless because of Streetohome.

Streetohome is currently fundraising on a project-by-project basis, starting with three innovative projects. They include: a faith-based collaboration to house homeless people in their own neighbourhood; a mixed-income building with supportive housing for women-led couples; and the redevelopment of a municipal fire hall including housing for single moms and their children. These projects will build 100 new units and provide housing with supports for over 200 additional people.
